Sneaky Skyline

picture-1

Skyline tried to pull one over on us with their “NEW” Chilitos. I had to get to the bottom of this.

My Email:

I have been getting Skyline Chilitos for quite a while. Today I was in the Hyde Park skyline and I saw lots of signage to try a NEW Chilito. The same three ingredients were listed before. The only thing that looked different on the sign was a paper wrapper. I ate a few for lunch and I can’t tell any difference between the “old” ones.

I also noticed that the menu hasn’t changed since August of 2008 and Chilito is listed there as well.

Am I crazy or are these really not new?

Skyline Email:

Michael,

Thanks for your e-mail regarding our Chilito product. Glad to hear you enjoyed a “few” Chilito’s for lunch last week. You are correct the Chilito product was NEW to the menu in November of last year. We had not advertised the product since adding the item to our menu. With very low consumer awareness of the product, we wanted to announce the NEW menu addition.

Thanks again for your e-mail.

Joel Bauer – Your Business Card is Crap

I really think this business card talk may be totally normal for this guy. Joel seems to be a magician that decided to expand this career to everything. He is some kind of motivational speaker/author/mentor/infotainer/magician/or anything else that pays. Watch him talk about your crappy business card.

Text Based Adventure

adventure2

Chris Drackett, (a dude that waited in line behind me for the original iphone) made a sweet website. The idea is simple and brilliant. The website textbasedadventure.com is based on old choose your own adventure books. The brilliant spin is letting users not just choose but create where the adventure goes. I’m sure after a few hundred people join the addiction of this site will be at crack levels.

Great job Chris.
