NIN Ghosts
Mar 23rd

I’m not really a Nine Inch Nails fan but I do think Trent Reznor is pretty cool when it comes to progressive music rights and interesting promotion. His most recent project is the result of a 10 week intense recording session. It is described by Reznor as “a soundtrack for daydreams”.
The first four volumes of Ghosts have been released. You can download the first 9 tracks free from the ghosts website. You can also pay 5 dollars for the full 4 albums digital or download them from torrent for free. 2500 die hard fans quickly purchased the $300 Limited Edition packaging.

Black Mirror
Jan 27th

“If the Arcade Fire’s Neon Bible wasn’t enough, then you should check out Black Mirror. The new single allows visitor of the site to turn off different audio channels of the song to create their own “mix”. Accompanying the song is a clip directed by Olivier Groulx & Tracy Maurice. The former was responsible for the artwork used on the band’s album “Funeral”.”

Modern Day Mixtape
Dec 4th

I’m sure this doesn’t have quite the warmth as a slow made real live mixtape but the idea is really cool. Make a mix of mp3′s, load them on the tiny usb driving, label the tape insert, and give it away. It is the coolest thing since hi-speed dubbing.
