I’m not really a Nine Inch Nails fan but I do think Trent Reznor is pretty cool when it comes to progressive music rights and interesting promotion. His most recent project is the result of a 10 week intense recording session. It is described by Reznor as “a soundtrack for daydreams”.
The first four volumes of Ghosts have been released. You can download the first 9 tracks free from the ghosts website. You can also pay 5 dollars for the full 4 albums digital or download them from torrent for free. 2500 die hard fans quickly purchased the $300 Limited Edition packaging.
radiohead “in rainbows”

Radiohead’s new album “in rainbows” is available for digital download today. It is 10 tracks that are DRM free. They can only be purchased directly from Radiohead so don’t expect to find this album on iTunes. The good news is you can pay whatever you want for the album. Just make sure you are aware of the exchange rate. I haven’t given it a proper listen yet but my first reaction is quite good. I haven’t been interested in their last few albums but this is promising. Worth a few pounds for sure

Wes Anderson is releasing a mini film on iTunes this week just a few days before the release of The Darjeeling Limited. The film was filmed in 2 1/2 days and edited by Anderson on his computer. It is a small prequel to The Darjeeling Limited that was shot a full year before filming started on the major motion picture.That type of planning shows that Wes has long term ideas.
