Deals Deals Deals

It’s that time of year when we are spending more than on consumer products because of that that whole Jesus’ birthday thing. I have using the internet to buy most things I need for a while now. If you know exactly what you want there are some simple things you can do to get the lowest price. If you are just browsing you can find some crazy deals.
retailMeNot – You can search for coupon codes for the website you are purchasing from. I often get free shipping or up to 20 precent off with the method. They even have a bookmarklet that you can click from your bookmarks bar to check the site you are on. check for coupon code <-- drag to your bookmarks bar.
ebates – eBates is awesome. Many online retailers give a percentage kick back when someone clicks on their ad on a website. eBates splits this percentage kick back with you. You just click thru their site when you are going to buy something online and then you get a check in the mail. I have a 61 bucks coming to me now. It’s a no brainer to go to target.com etc by click the link on their page. This can really add up for large purchases. The cash back ranges from 1%-25%.
If you sign up and buy one thing by clicking thru you will get 10 bucks on top of the percentage back.
dealnews – a searchable hot deal site. One of the best and most well known.
slickdeals – a simple but useful daily deals site. Make sure you check the forums.
the bargainist – yet another daily deal site, I found a FREE 2 year subscription to Make Magazine on their site.
spoofee – an older deal site but very much community driven. These people live for bargains.
price protectr – I only bother to use this website for large products. If an online retailer offers price protection price protectr will monitor their website for a price drop so you can get the difference back.

talking about deals, Dr.Pepper extended the free pop deadline to 6pm today, but the response has been so overwhelming that I can’t get on the website. And instead am on the phone with CS at 1-800-696-5891. Processing the good old fashioned way. Now all I have to do is wait 4-6 weeks for that tasty goodness.
